ACNE AWAY 50ml

Acne is not something that only us humans deal with, our pets get acne too.  Animals won't say hiding away in their room until it clears up but it can be irritating and cause some discomfort.

Acne can be brought on by:

  • hormonal changes

  • environmental allergies

  • food allergies

  • poor hygiene

  • trauma

  • poor diet

  • bacterial infection

  • low immunity

  • stress

Symptoms of acne are:

  • blackheads

  • whiteheads

  • lumps under the skin

  • red irritated bumps

  • skin inflammation

  • skin lesions

  • scabs

  • fluid filled bumps

The most common place acne develops is on the lips, chin and muzzle/snout.  If your pet has light coloured fur, you may notice black dots which are actually blackheads.  Sometimes these black dots are mistaken as dirt or you may see areas of red sores or pussy lumps.

It can be itchy or irritating so you may notice your pet scratching or rubbing their face along the carpet, furniture or lawn.

Acne is not a life threatening issue but if the skin has open sores this can lead to a secondary skin infection.  DO NOT use human type cleansers or lotions on animals as their skin is very sensitive and will most likely burn and irritate the skin further.

Acne is more common in pets that have short hair coats.

Some cats and dogs may need help in keeping their mouth and chin area clean after they finish eating.  Giving their mouth and chin area a wipe with a warm flannel can help prevent acne.  Some dogs get a build up of excess saliva around the mouth area so they too will benefit from a clean with a warm flannel to keep the area clean and dry.

Make sure you wash water and food bowls daily to eliminate bacteria that can cause acne.  Also, if you use plastic a switch to glass, ceramic or stainless steel bowls is beneficial as plastic holds bacteria.

Our Acne Away complex helps with underlying issues and stress that can lead to acne.  This homeopathic complex also helps clear acne, pussy sores, blackheads, secondary skin infections and helps to settle, calm and heal the skin.

Safe for all ages and species.
