Fears and phobias can develop from a single experience or from continued exposure to the fearful stimulus such as lightening, thunder and similar sounds.

Some animals have a mild response when exposed to a fearful situation such as hiding, trembling or clinging to their owners while others become extremely agitated and get worked up into a panic and can become quite destructive by chewing or scratching doors, walls, furniture, jumping fences and running away.

It is quite common for animals to show signs of anxiety before a thunderstorm starts as they can hear low frequency rumbles that occur while the storm is brewing.  They can also sense barometric pressure changes.

Anxiety symptoms can include:

• barking/howling

• excessive panting and saliva

• trembling

• destructive chewing

• nervous diarrhea/urination

• fence jumping

• panicked running

• hiding

• clinging to owner

• pacing

Dosage: Homeopathic remedies

10 drops on to fur in between shoulder blades, four times per day. 

​

For acute symptoms, dose every 5 minutes for the first  hour, then twice hourly for 24 hours, 4-6 times a day.  Can also place 10 drops in animals water bowl.
